Scripture: Philippians 3:13–14 (NRSV): 'Beloved, I do not consider that I have made it my own; but this one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the heavenly call of God in Christ Jesus.'

Devotional Thought: Sometimes the biggest emotional distraction is not your pain, it’s your pettiness. You keep replaying what they said, how they said it, what you should’ve said. Meanwhile, purpose is calling and you’ve got it on hold. Paul says, 'I press on.' That means he didn’t stay stuck in past offenses or personal insecurities. Holy motivation says: I’ve got too much vision to be this bitter. Let your purpose talk louder than your pride. Don’t miss your calling because you’re caught up in clapbacks.

Emotional Intelligence Focus: Motivation

Self-Reflection Question: What are you allowing to distract you from the bigger picture of your purpose?

Prayer: Lord, I repent for wasting energy on things that don’t matter. Give me tunnel vision for what You’ve called me to do. Help me let go of petty thoughts and press into powerful purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
