Scripture: Ezekiel 36:26 (NRSV): 'A new heart I will give you, and a new spirit I will put within you; and I will remove from your body the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.'

Devotional Thought: If you’ve ever tried to love people while your heart’s still bleeding, you know this truth: healing ain’t instant. It’s layered, gritty, and not for the weak. But God promised to do the heart transplant work, if you’re willing to sit still long enough. He’s not interested in behavior modification; He’s after deep transformation. Let Him remove the stone parts, those crusty places where disappointment turned to bitterness. New hearts make room for new levels. And yes, it hurts. But healing is holy.

Self-Reflection Question: What part of your heart is God trying to soften right now?

Prayer: God, I give You permission to do heart surgery. Remove what’s hardened and replace it with something alive, vulnerable, and Spirit-led. I trust You with my healing. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
